Southern Praline Pecan Cake w/ Butter Sauce

Ingredients

  • 1 box butter pecan cake mix
  • 4 eggs
  • ¾ cup oil (canola or vegetable)
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 tub coconut pecan frosting
  • 1 cup Newberry Pecans, chopped (divided)
  • 2 tbsp. butter
  • 1 -14 oz. can sweetened condensed milk
  • Newberry Pecan halves for garnish, if desired

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°.
  2. Grease a 9”- x13”- baking dish.
  3. In a medium-mixing bowl, combine first five ingredients. Mix well, then stir in ½ cup Newberry Pecans.
  4. Pour batter into the greased baking dish. 
  5. Bake for 35- 40 minutes or until the cake springs back to the touch.
  6. In a small pot over medium heat, melt butter. 
  7. Add the can of sweetened condensed milk and stir until heated thoroughly. 
  8. Add the remaining chopped pecans, stir, and remove from the heat.
  9. Spoon the sauce over warm cake.
